2. Orders and Acceptance

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase products subject to these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order at our discretion. Order confirmation does not constitute acceptance; acceptance occurs when we dispatch your goods.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering using one of our accepted payment methods.

4. Product Information

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate. However, we cannot guarantee that colours displayed on your screen will exactly match the actual product due to variations in display settings. Dimensions and specifications are approximate and may vary slightly.

5. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the timeframe specified. Delivery charges will be calculated and displayed at checkout. You must provide accurate delivery information; we are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses.

6. Consumer Rights and Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving any reason. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty or not as described.

Items must be returned in their original condition, unused and in original packaging. We will process refunds within 14 days of receiving returned goods.

7. Faulty or Damaged Goods

Please inspect your goods upon delivery. If items are damaged or faulty, contact us immediately with photographic evidence. We will arrange collection and provide a replacement or full refund as appropriate. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to this, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the relevant product.

Delivery Access & Measurement Terms

1. Customer Responsibility
It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that the products ordered can be delivered into the intended room of choice. This includes ensuring there is adequate clearance through doorways, hallways, stairwells, and any tight turns. All dimensions provided on our website or in-store are for the product itself and do not account for packaging.

2. Access Check Requirement
Before placing an order, customers are advised to use our "Measuring Guide." We recommend checking the narrowest point of entry (including door frames and radiators) and ensuring there is sufficient ceiling height for the item to be stood on end if a "pivot" maneuver is required.

3. Failed Delivery Charges
If a delivery cannot be completed because the item does not fit through the access points, the delivery will be classified as a "Failed Delivery." In such cases:

  • A restocking fee of  £49.99 will apply.
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • The item will be returned to our warehouse, and the customer will be issued a credit note, minus the applicable fees.

4. Modification of the Property
Our delivery teams are not permitted to remove doors, windows, or any fixtures to facilitate access. Any such modifications must be carried out by the customer prior to the delivery team's arrival.

5. Online vs. In-Store Orders

  • In-Store: As the customer has had the opportunity to inspect the product, we do not offer returns or exchanges for items that do not fit.
  • Distance Selling (Online/Phone): In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, customers have 14 days to return an item. However, the cost of returning the item due to fitment issues remains the customer's responsibility.

To ensure a sofa fits, you need to compare the sofa's dimensions against every "pinch point" along the path from the delivery van to its final spot.

1. Measure Your Sofa

Don't just look at the width; you need three specific numbers:

  • Width (W): The total length from arm to arm.
  • Height (H): The distance from the floor to the highest point of the back. (Check if legs are removable to reduce this).
  • Diagonal Depth (DD): Measure from the top-back corner to the front-bottom corner. This is crucial for manoeuvring around corners.

2. Measure the "Pinch Points"

Measure the width and height of every opening, ensuring you account for door handles, handrails, or radiators that stick out.

  • Exterior & Interior Doors: Measure the inside of the door frame. If the sofa height is greater than the door width, the sofa must be narrower than the door width to fit through horizontally. Wayfair
  • Hallways: Ensure the hallway is wider than the sofa's height if it needs to be carried on its side. Watch out for narrow "dog-leg" turns.
  • Stairwells: Measure the width of the stairs at their narrowest point. Don't forget the ceiling height at the landings—this is where most sofas get stuck when being pivoted. Dweva
  • Lifts: If you live in an apartment, measure the lift door opening and the internal depth/height of the lift car.

3. The "Will It Fit?" Rule of Thumb

  • Horizontal Fit: The door width must be greater than either the sofa height or the sofa depth.
  • Vertical Fit: If the sofa is too long to go in flat, the door height must be greater than the sofa width, and there must be enough ceiling clearance to stand it up.
